| c. 1927-1930 Princeton Baseball Uniforms (Two: Freshman Team and Varsity Team Uniforms) Uniforms belonged to Richard Stephen Hendey, Sr. (acquired from the Hendey Family). R.S. Hendey has an interesting life story - he was mayor of White Plains, NY, for 18 years (during the 60s and 70s). He went on to play semi-pro baseball near where he grew up in White Plains, NY, and later owned a sporting goods store. Hendey went to Prep School in Westchester, NY. (Pawling School). He was about 6'2", so the uniforms are large. 1927: Member of Princeton Baseball Freshman Team (“Class of 1930 Team”). 1928, 1929, 1930: Member of Princeton Varsity Baseball Team – Pitcher, Right Field. High quality heavy wool Spalding Uniforms in excellent condition. Includes Jersey, Pants and Stripped Orange/Black Princeton Socks. In addition, collection includes Hendey's c.1925 Pawling School (NY), Basketball Uniform and Varsity Sweater. |
